Mask Charade represents the unknown and misinformation about mask wearing due to the pandemic. We could not physically move into places we once gathered do to quarantine, but my mind and soul was never quarantined so I freely moved into places of creation and reached back into my African ancestral usage of mask wearing to give me grounding and control. A mask, for the African is an instrument of ritual and dance invoking the forces of nature, to heal, protect, creating balance and harmonious connection to nature; Where there is no Charade.
