Spread I: What if

 This exhibition will be held under the title of "Spread" through the "What if" series that has been working since 2014. "Spread" in English is spreading, unfolding, difference, extended oil field, corrosion, painted, recorded, It has the meaning of spreading. This coincides with the meaning of expansion, spreading, spreading, painting, etc., which are the characteristics of the work using layers of color and surface, but among the post-traumatic post-traumatic symptoms (PTSD) that have been worked since 2014, the relationship between trauma and communication was discussed between the subject and the other. It is also related to the meaning of the record, extension, corrosion, diffusion, and difference of the relationship. In addition, I hope that through works mainly in blue color on a square canvas of a similar size, the audience will have a relationship between the title and the work, as well as the meanings implied in it, thereby expanding their thoughts.


 이번 전시는 2014년부터 작업해온 ‘Wha if’시리즈를 통해 “ Spread”라는 타이틀로 진행되어지는데, “Spread”는 영어로 ‘전파, 퍼짐, 전개, 차이, 확장, 유전, 부식, 칠해지다, 기록하다, 보급하다’ 등의 뜻을 가지고있다. 이는 색과 면의 레이어를 이용한 작업의 특징인 ‘확장, 퍼짐, 전파, 칠해지다’ 등과 같은 의미와 부합하지만, 2014년부터 작업했던 외상후후유증(PTSD) 중 트라우마와 커뮤니케이션의 관계에 대해 주체와 타자의 관계에 대한 ‘기록, 연장, 부식, 유포, 차이’ 등에 대한 의미와도 연관되어진다. 또한 비슷한 사이즈의 정방형 캔버스위에 블루컬러를 메인으로 작업된 작품들을 통해 관객들은 타이틀과 작품과의 관계, 그 안에 내포된 의미에 대한 유추 등을 하게 됨으로써 그들의 사유의 확장이 되는 시간이 되기를 바란다.
